This not-so-young-man of Assam managed to plant trees for the past 30 years in Majauli Island in Jorhat, Assam.

As a 16-year-old, he had seen dead snakes near his farm due to high temperatures and a lack of shade. Moved deeply, he began to plant trees, single-handedly. managing to reforest his entire island to the massive size of 15 football fields. The beautiful part of this is that it has created an environment or ecology of its own, with a thriving wildlife and plant life like tigers, rhinos, cotton and silk.
His gift to us is that he planted 1 tree a day over the last 30 years.
Perspective
We, being the generation we are, have neglected the power of perseverance and time. We often neglect the power of the long term. We are filled in a world of instants.
My key takeaway—persevere every day with steps, no matter how small.
